The Kona Bristol BikeFest 2009 6-7th June Bristol UK
Challenging conditions, according to the met office a month worth of rain on Saturday night, yet the usual relaxed atmosphere welcomed almost 2000 riders to the Kona Bristol Bikefest 2009.
The weather leading up to the event was perfect drying out the trails nicely but then on Friday night it decided to brake the 6 year stint of perfect riding weather and add a further challenging aspect to the Kona Bristol Bikefest 2009.

1st - 4th May 2009 Westcountry Kona dirt bike park 'The Track' will be celebrating it's 5th Birthday.
Not wanting to take it easy, they have been busy creating an event never attempted before in the UK. The Track owner, Steve Tonkin, said "we've had 4 great years and we always seem to end the year with a big event, for 2009 I wanted to START the season off with our biggest event yet"
So the 'Track Invitational' was born. This event will showcase BMX & 4X Racing, Slopestyle, MTB Dirt Jumping and BMX Dirt Jumping. The Top 20 riders from each discipline will be invited to compete at 'The Track', with extra wildcard competitions taking place over the weekend for new talent to try for the chance to compete in the main events. As an added bonus the BMX Racing will be a South West regional event and is expected to attract in excess of 150 competitors. The event will also include music, entertainment, and a selection of quality food and leading bike and clothing vendors.
The event has already attracted sponsorship from: Kona, Vans, Monster Energy, Extreme Channel and Live Events South West.
Free entry Tickets are available if ordered in advance. Ticket enquiries are welcome by emailing invitational@the-track.co.uk
