Kona Grassroots

Keen to find young talent, and to support the growth of future biking champions, Kona bring you the Grassroots Program, a dealer-supported program to promote local up-and-coming racers with gear, tech and supplies.

Grassroots Details:

This program will provide riders with access to the latest racing bikes, and competitive and casual clothing. It is available to riders who compete in cross-country, DH, road, 4-cross, freeride and dirt jump events.

Grassroots team members will be identified, recruited and managed by each area's local Kona dealers. Kona will provide each Grassroots rider with a clothing package, to help them stand out from the pack. Clothing will have space for the participating shop to add their logo on, as well as logos from additional sponsors (with prior approval from Kona).

We will be adding rider profiles to the website, as well as photos, race reports and results. Videos can be uploaded, and we invite riders to contribute as much information to their profiles as they can.

To be involved in the Grassroots program in the UK, you need to contact your local Kona dealer who can put you forward, should you meet their own sponsorship criteria. What we ask from you, the rider, is….
• A completed rider application form/questionnaire including a schedule of races you plan to compete in over the next season (at least 4 races per season)
• Race reports and results within a fortnight of each race, along with at least one photo.
• You must include the name ‘Kona Grassroots’ in every entry, and wear Kona clothing for all events and photographs.
• A photograph of you in full team kit, with your bike within one month of receiving the clothing and bike.
